Production Manager | Billini Head Office

As the company enters an exciting period of growth, we are looking for a Production Manager with experience in fashion/retail space. Based in our modern Head Office in Marrickville, you will work collaboratively with our passionate team and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting into the Head of Production, the purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the entire end – to end – production process whilst managing and working closely with your team. The roles requires a seasoned professional with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills / network to collaborate with overseas factories.

Production Planning & Management
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and business targets
- Monitor production processes and adjust as necessary to ensure efficient operations
- Ensure optimal use of resources, including manpower, machinery – (change to) supply base, and materials
- Coordinating with suppliers and freight forwarders to schedule shipment consoles on a weekly basis across our fright network for Australia, Usa and Canada

Quality Control & Compliance
- Maintain and enforce quality control standards to ensure products meet company and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to resolve any production-related defects or issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and lead the production team, including coordinators, administrators, and technicians
- Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and improve productivity.
- Set performance goals, provide feedback, and manage staff scheduling

Cost & Inventory Management
- Manage production budgets and control costs while ensuring product quality
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials

Process Improvement & Problem Solving
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing techniques
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Introduce automation and technology-driven solutions to enhance efficiency

- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in production management or a similar role in Fashion
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety regulations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage budgets, analyze production data, and optimize efficiency
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
