Head Of Product

As Billini enters an exciting period of growth, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Product with a love for accessories to join our growing team in Marrickville, Sydney. As part of the senior leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving our global omni-channel expansion by focusing on the strategic design and innovation of our collections.

primary job responsibilities & duties

Reporting to the Creative Director and working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing product development to ensure all product is aligned with the brand's aesthetic
  • International sourcing trips for product and inspiration
  • Seasonal trend reporting
  • Sourcing new suppliers and nurture relationships with existing supply chain
  • Hire, train and mentor the Product team
  • Leading price negotiations with suppliers and oversee range costings
  • Identifying new opportunities and innovations to increase profitability and growth within new categories
  • Working collaboratively with cross functional teams as a member of the senior leadership team, to ensure best practices are implemented
  • Working closely with the Production Manager to ensure adherence to the critical path is maintained
  • Developing a strategic seasonal Brand Plan and collaborate with the Creative, Marketing and Buying teams to drive key messaging.

qualifications & experience

  • +5 years management experience in the Fashion Footwear sector at a senior level with demonstrated success
  • Strong ability to build & nurture meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge on seasonal trends and commercial acumen
  • Willingness to travel Internationally as required
  • Proven ability to plan, project manage and deliver high performance
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and influence
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong brand alignment and passion for the footwear industry
