Human Resources Manager Application | Billini Head Office

Billini is looking for a hands-on and experienced HR generalist leader to step into a 6 month mat leave contract located in Marrickville, Sydney. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work closely with the Co-founders and Senior Leadership Team which you will be a part of.

You will play a critical role in nurturing our great workplace culture, while also ensuring we attract, retain, and develop top talent. Billini has made significant progress in developing HR strategies and policies to support business growth and you will continue to drive the business forward rather than care take the role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reporting to the General Manager, and managing 1 direct report, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Providing HR advise to management and employees
- Managing complex people issues with professionalism, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Managing the recruitment process and collaborate with hiring managers
- Managing the onboarding and offboarding process
- Leading wellbeing initiatives and team-bonding events to promote a positive work culture
- Supporting and coaching managers on performance management
- Managing the HR system and maintain accurate employee records
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and industrial awards (General Retail Industry Award & Storage Services and Wholesale Award)
- Monitoring and implementing any regulatory changes to policies and procedures as required.

ABOUT YOU

- 2+ year experience in a similar role, preferably within the Retail Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Australian employment laws and industrial relations legislation
- Strong ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
